Astra Film Festival 2017
From October 17–23, the Astra Film Festival in Sibiu, Romania, will shine a spotlight on the art of documentary filmmaking, bridging traditional cinema with today’s most innovative formats.
This year’s program offers a unique cinematic journey—from collective movie theater experiences to groundbreaking 360-degree cross-media screenings inside a state-of-the-art NewMedia fulldome.
In partnership with the Astra Film Festival, we’ve installed our impressive 19-meter immersive dome in Grand Square (Piața Mare), right in the heart of Sibiu. Every day, we welcome thousands of attendees into this futuristic space, celebrating the next generation of immersive storytelling. With over 20,000 expected visitors, the event promises to be a landmark moment for immersive cinema and interactive documentary experiences.
