Astra Film Festival 2019
Another year at one of our favorite festivals in the world: the Astra Film Festival. Every year, we strive to make the experience better, more captivating, and more entertaining for everyone involved. For this edition, we took the festival to the next level by adding a range of exciting new activities to the DOME program.
Outside the dome, we captivated festival-goers with a live 3D Mapping performance, blending breathtaking visuals with cutting-edge technology. The result was a jaw-dropping display that transformed architecture into a living canvas, setting the tone for the multisensory journey to come.
Inside the dome, we invited the audience to become creators. Using a custom-designed interactive app powered by Surface Pro 5, visitors could generate their own visuals and music in real time—blurring the line between observer and participant in a uniquely dynamic experience.
To deepen the creative exchange, we also hosted exclusive masterclasses with some of the biggest names in the digital arts scene, including Julius Horsthuis and Alles Schick. These sessions offered powerful insights into visual storytelling, immersive media, and the creative process, inspiring a new wave of digital artists and enthusiasts alike.
The festival wrapped up in style with an unforgettable final party hosted by UNGO VISUALS—a sensory explosion of music, projections, and cutting-edge creativity. It was the perfect closing act to a festival that continues to push boundaries and redefine what immersive storytelling can be.
