KIA Motors European Convention
In collaboration with Komodo Productions, KIA Motors invited NewMedia Creative Technology Studio to design and deliver the creative concept and immersive experience for the 2015 European Convention—one of the brand’s most important annual gatherings.

To set the tone for innovation, progress, and forward-thinking design, we developed an exciting and cinematic fulldome show inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, the legendary science fiction masterpiece directed by Stanley Kubrick. This homage to the film’s iconic aesthetic and narrative allowed us to explore themes of human evolution, artificial intelligence, and the future of mobility—all through the lens of KIA’s bold vision for the automotive world.
Inside a custom-built dome theater, attendees were transported on a visual journey that connected KIA’s brand values with a cosmic narrative. The fulldome environment enabled full 360-degree projection, creating an immersive setting where light, motion, and music worked together to surround the audience and evoke awe. The storytelling experience reflected both the elegance and technological advancement of KIA’s vehicle lineup—while igniting inspiration for what’s to come.
This project was a celebration of creativity, cinematic influence, and collaborative innovation. NewMedia is proud to have partnered with KIA Motors and Komodo Productions on a project that merged brand storytelling with one of the most iconic visual languages in film history.
