TO Pressure Test — AI-Powered Interactive Experience for Destination Toronto
TO Pressure Test is a custom AI event activation created by NewMedia for Destination Toronto at ASAE 2026, combining AI engineering, real-time personalization and live deployment in Indianapolis.

The Challenge: Turn Destination Marketing Into an AI-Powered Live Experience
Destination Toronto wanted an activation for ASAE 2026 that could do more than attract attention on the trade-show floor. The experience needed to actively involve association professionals, create a memorable connection with Toronto and demonstrate how technology can turn destination storytelling into personal participation.
NewMedia conceived and developed TO Pressure Test as a custom AI event activation and AI experience for trade shows — not a pre-built software product or a passive screen installation. The project combined creative strategy, AI engineering, real-time application development, interactive content and on-site event production in a single system.
Custom AI Engineering Built Around the Experience
The intelligence behind TO Pressure Test was engineered specifically for the activation. NewMedia developed the application logic and AI workflow that processed participant inputs and generated personalized responses in real time, allowing each interaction to become part of the experience rather than simply triggering predetermined content.
This end-to-end approach reflects NewMedia’s broader capability in custom AI experience development: concept design, proprietary AI engines and logic, real-time pipelines, interfaces, immersive technology integration, testing and live deployment can all be developed around a client’s brief.
AI Interaction Designed for Real Audience Participation
TO Pressure Test used AI as the engine of a participatory brand experience. The audience was not asked merely to watch technology; participants influenced what happened next. This transformed artificial intelligence from a background tool into an active part of the event narrative and created a more personal relationship between the visitor and Destination Toronto.
The project demonstrates one of the three core areas of NewMedia’s AI work: AI Interactions. Alongside conversational AI characters and responsive AI environments, these systems can use choices, speech, movement, data or other live inputs to shape an experience in real time.
From AI Concept to the Show Floor
NewMedia delivered TO Pressure Test as a complete creative technology solution, connecting the idea, software engineering, interaction design, content, technical integration and live production. This single-partner model reduces the gap between creative ambition and technical execution — particularly important for complex AI activations at trade shows, conferences and corporate events.

What TO Pressure Test Demonstrates
- Custom AI development: an experience-specific AI system and application workflow rather than an off-the-shelf activation.
- Real-time personalization: participant input influenced the experience and generated individualized responses.
- Experiential AI: artificial intelligence functioned as part of the live audience journey, not simply as content generation behind the scenes.
- End-to-end production: creative concept, AI engineering, application development, integration and event deployment were handled as one connected process.
- Enterprise event application: the system was designed for a professional association audience at a major US trade show.
